Our experienced and Gas Safe registered engineers carry out Gas Safety checks for domestic properties. Currently, we provide this service to landlords, property developers, building developers and estate agents.
Gas Safety Checks
Landlords have a duty of care to their tenants and as per The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998 (GSIUR), landlords are required to ensure all gas appliances, fittings, chimneys and flues are safe and working efficiently. These regulations also state that Gas Safety checks should be undertaken by a qualified Gas Safe registered engineer.
At Hero Plumbing, our engineers are all Gas Safe registered and experienced in these checks. Following the inspection you will be provided with a Landlord Gas Safety Record (LGSR) which clearly details the checks that were carried out. It is then the landlord’s responsibility to provide a copy of the Gas Safety Record to the tenant within 28 days of the Gas Safety inspection.
How often do I need a Gas Safety Check?
Gas Safety Checks should be carried out every year and you can arrange your next inspection from 10-12 months after the last check. This will not affect the expiry date stated on your current report.
All Hero Plumbing customers receive yearly reminders when their gas safety inspection is due and prior to our engineers arrival you will receive a notification via text message.
